Work Schedules

Weather conditions and the number of guests play a large role in the work scheduling of Dodge Ridge employees. When conditions are normal, you will be expected to work five to six days a week. During busy periods, you may be expected to work seven days a week.

You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your designated workstation at the scheduled time.

Working Conditions

At any time during the season, Dodge Ridge employees must often perform their tasks in variable weather conditions; high winds, rain, snow, and extremely warm temperatures.

Work is typically inside working directly with resort guests and other resort staff members. During summer operations it can be noisy, cold, hot, dry, or humid. You may be expected to work in warm places and often you will work around hot and cold objects.

Uniforms

A professional appearance at Dodge Ridge is required. It is expected that a name tag and uniform are worn during your scheduled shift. We will provide most of the uniform for you to do your job. However, you will be required to provide some items as part of your job. The quality, color, and style of the items must be approved by your manager prior to being worn to work. All hats worn must have the Dodge Ridge logo while on shift.

Approved Routes

I understand that the approved routes for work purposes will be all-mountain within the bike area boundary. Any out of bounds biking must be approved by the patrol director. Out of bounds riding would encompass backcountry orientation for search and rescue missions and would be documented as such training. Additionally, at no time will patrollers be allowed to participate in bike racing, terrain park jumping, jumping off cornices, horseplay and anything else that’s not in the scope of normal departmental duties.

Specifics are covered in the Worker’s Compensation Policy and Acknowledgement for riding/non riding Employees.

The riding employee represents a model for safe riding for both the guest and fellow employees. You are required to be aware of all safe riding procedures, trail closures, and out-of-bounds policies.
