The Los Angeles Dodgers Compensation Partner is responsible for the administration and compliance of the compensation programs. The Compensation Partner will work on the cross-functional team to administer all Sales plans, including modeling, calculating awards and communication with employees to ensure compliance with all applicable laws. This role will also work with other People Operations teammates on employee events as needed.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Compensation

  • Serve as a trusted partner and advisor on all compensation related matters for assigned groups.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to advise on job descriptions and compensation ranges for new hires.
  • Liaison with outside counsel on compensation issues as needed.
  • Partner with managers and leadership on compensation recommendations for new hires, promotions, and transfers, including internal and external considerations.
  • In partnership with the cross functional team of Sales Leadership, Finance, and Business Strategy teams, monitor, calculate and communicate sales compensation plans for all lines of business.
  • Provide individual worksheets for sales plan participants as well as calculation of awards.
  • Periodically assess overall sales plans performance.
  • Support the annual compensation and budgeting process, creating department head worksheets and tools for the annual pay review cycle and salary structure updates.
  • Administer the annual bonus plan, working with department heads on calibration and budget.
  • Participate in compensation surveys, monitor survey data and create benching marking models to illustrate trends.
  • Stay current on industry trends, legal requirements, and market dynamics to ensure compliance and relevance of compensation programs.
  • Support the design and delivery of education and training for leadership, managers and employees.

Reporting

  • Create tools for headcount tracking and approvals; develop and monitor on a monthly basis.
  • Lead the quarterly reporting to MLB, working with the Data Analyst to produce accurate reports to the league.
  • Compile and distribute overtime reports to assist with budget versus actual tracking.
  • Audit and update MLB pension database on compensation reporting.
  • Assist with other reporting as requested.

Additional Duties:

  • Assist with employee events and other People Operations projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree and 5 years of experience in compensation with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Certified Compensation Professional or other compensation certification preferred.
  • Familiarization with compensation elements of UKG’s platform as well as its reporting capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop relationships with managers to be their trusted compensation partner.
  • Experience working successfully with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Notes, Word and Visio.
  • Experience with HR Enterprise systems.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
