Reports to:                    Director, Transportation

*Compensation rates vary based on job-related factors, including experience, job skills, education, and training.

The Coordinator for Parking & Transportation will be responsible for the day-to-day planning and execution of parking operations at Dodger Stadium, ensuring parking entrances and lots are staffed and ready to open. The Coordinator for Parking & Transportation will help the Director maintain the event calendar and follow up with signed agreements as needed. They will also be responsible for designing/suggesting creative solutions to traffic congestion to avoid traffic backups. Outside of game-day planning, the Coordinator for Parking and Transportation will ensure all vendor invoices are received and uploaded for payment processing.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure vendors are complying with the expectations listed in signed contracts
  • Responsible for collaborating with various departments to coordinate special events as needed
  • Assist with equipment inventory and order replacement items as needed
  • Process department invoices and balance labor budget, displaying knowledge of Concur Solutions or similar invoice processing systems
  • Manage event calendar as needed
  • Oversee staff/fan interactions and provide constructive feedback when necessary
  • Always represent the Los Angeles Dodgers brand in a professional manner
  • Maintain working relationships with city entities including LAPD, LAFD, LADOT, etc.
  • Gather, organize and interpret data; provide recommendations for improving processes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Basic Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or related work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in events, sports, entertainment or a similar field
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, holidays.
  • Ability to work in all outdoor weather conditions; in wet and rainy weather as needed, including all baseball games and special events.
  • Occasionally move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Occasionally move about to access various area of the stadium and remain standing for extended periods of time
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, with a verifiable safe driving record, and safely operate a company-supplied motor vehicle, daily, for duties related to this position
  • Must be a driven individual who is also a team player with a positive attitude
  • Ability to maintain composure and work effectively in high-pressure situations
  • Passionate about working for a professional sports team
  • Ability to carefully focus on all aspects of a task with attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Ability to communicate well with other departments
  • Ability to resolve fan interaction/staff issues as needed
  • Familiarity with contracts or service agreements
  • Experience with gathering, organizing and analyzing data to provide recommendations
  • Proficient with data collection tools such as Excel
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Basic knowledge of maps and use of Google Maps/Waze for traffic updates on event days
  • Basic knowledge of Concur or other accounting software
  • Familiarity with the surrounding streets and highways for event planning
  • Experience working in or with Security teams and reviewing security system footage is a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Japanese is a plus
  • The ability to hitch and tow equipment safely is preferred
  • Knowledge of ADA compliance requirements is a plus
