We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Dog Trainer to join our team. As a Dog Trainer, you will be responsible for teaching dog and their owners how to train, execute and maintain obedience commands to work towards their goals. As well as addressing behavioral issues to improve the quality of life for both dogs and their owners. We are looking for someone has a true passion for life long learning and teaching. Prior dog experience or handling is required.
As a company we specialize in obedience, service dog training, puppy training and behavioral modification.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group dog training classes based on the needs of clients and their dogs.
- Teach basic obedience commands, such as sit, down, come, and heel.
- Address common behavioral issues such as barking, chewing, digging, and jumping.
- Create individualized training plans for dogs with specific behavioral issues.
- Evaluate dog behavior and modify training plans accordingly.
- Provide positive reinforcement and support to dogs and their owners.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records.
- Educate clients on proper training techniques and responsible pet ownership.
- Participate in community outreach programs and events to promote dog training services.
Requirements:
- Dog Training or handling experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Passion for working with animals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new training techniques and methods.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Drivers license and reliable transportation
