Dogcity is our high end facility, with a recently remodeled facility in pristine condition. Over 10 years in grooming guarantee a steady clientelle while the new ownership is focused on engaging with the community and building the best grooming group in this part of the city.
Job Summary:
We're on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Pet Groomer to join our grooming operations. This role is perfect for someone who excels at dog grooming and is looking to continue grow his/her career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grooming Excellence: Deliver high-quality grooming services, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling for our furry clientele, ensuring they look and feel their best.
- Pet Grooming Log & Records: To ensure long term success with grooming services, we require all our groomers to maintain the grooming log for all our customers. Services done, issues, etc.
- Keeping your stations clean and tidy: Sounds obvious but it is a key part of operating a high end facility.
Routine Details:
- We are looking to cover a 30-35 hours a week where we can provide an average of 7-8 dogs a day (there's demand for more).
- We would love to open Saturdays per demand, which will have added pricing to contribute to your commissions.
- There are flexible options but we want to hire to cover 35 to 50 dogs a week. Depending on skills, number of hours, schedule and days of the week.
What we do for you:
- Bathers and Dryers Team: While you will focus in grooming, we have a well oiled team of bathers and dryers to run half of the work done by groomers in other locations. As soon as you get in, you'll have dogs waiting for you to be groomed, taking the other less satisfying stuff out of your way.
- Bookings and Customer Management: We have full staff dedicated to maintain the value chain of the customer experience. We answer calls, book appointments, call back, charge, etc. We use MoeGo to provide transparency and access to the information for your calendar.
- Provide equipment replacements as they wear out: dough most of our groomers have their initial set, we provide blades, combs, etc as yours wears out.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in professional pet grooming.
- Expertise in grooming various breeds and understanding their specific needs.
- Proficient in using grooming tools and equipment, including clippers, shears, brushes, and combs.
- A compassionate approach to animal handling. (FearFree Certification is welcomed)
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to high grooming standards.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift pets as needed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with pet owners and team members.
- Any certification is a plus
