TITLE: Yard Coordinator / Porter
PAY: HOURLY
JOB DESCRIPTION: You must work with all departments to build an efficient and effective team. Keep the yard organization to its highest possible level. Must be able to perform all of the functions of the all yard personnel, and perform all other functions as requested by manager.
JOB DUTIES:
- Provide great customer support for all incoming and outgoing customers on the yard.
- all inbound/outbound haul trucks and complete related paperwork at all times
- Assist with monthly equipment, attachment and Wholegoods audit and report findings to Sales Support Manager when needed
- Manage machine and attachment movement throughout the yard when needed
- Work with yard lead to keep display area is well organized with machines organized by type, model, size… there should be no open spaces in the display area
- Ensure equipment, attachments and Wholegoods inventory is organized and placed in the correct area(s)
- Assist with the stamping and marking all company owned attachments and Wholegoods inventory as requested by Sales Support Manager
- Work as traffic control and direct drivers on the yard to ensure good flow and faster service
- Assist with cleanliness, sweeping, scraping yard when there is no traffic
- Other duties as assigned
- Oversee wash bay duties and clean machines
Reporting:
- This position will report directly to the service manager at the branch level
- In an effort to direct constant yard control best practices should be followed throughout the enterprise
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to operate heavy machinery of all makes and sizes
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Must be a team player and willing to take on new challenges
- A major portion of every day will be spent outdoors walking, stooping and bending, climbing on and off machines.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- Proper PPE is required at all times
- Must be self-motivated and a self-starter
- Ability to work well with internal and external customers
- Must be able to accomplish all requirements with minimal supervision
