Doggone Lucky Pet Services is an insured and bonded dog walking/pet sitting business located in Hillsborough, NJ. We provide loving, responsible, reliable care to our clients to ensure complete peace of mind while they are away traveling, working, etc. We are looking to hire the right person residing in the Hillsborough, New Jersey area to join our team and provide excellent service to our clients and their pets. The candidate must reside in our service area as there are times a request will come through and travel cannot be a determining factor of whether we can service the request. This is an exciting time for our business, and we would love to find the right candidate to be a part of our growth.
- We are looking for a long-term, part-time and experienced dog walker/pet sitter to join our small and fun team providing daily dog walks and cat/dog sits in the Hillsborough/Manville, NJ and surrounding areas.
- We are looking for someone who is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Possible early morning hours (6:30 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.) when we are pet sitting. This would be communicated ahead of time. Note: hours may vary due to the nature of this business.
- Due to the nature of this business, the schedule would be very flexible. Ideally, the candidate would be available on Monday/Wednesday as well to assist during bottle neck times. The hours could potentially be between the hours of 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. as this would be based on requests coming in weekly.
- Ideally, the candidate would be willing to accept assignments on the weekends/late night visits (Pet sitting for a dog would require a late-night visit. This would not be later than 10:00 p.m.) This would be requested ahead of time
- We are looking for this candidate to be available to start on May 19, 2025.
- Background checks and references are required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidate must be over 21 years of age.
- Must live in the service area.
- Have a valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Have a working and reliable smart phone and phone service.
- Must have a genuine passion for and caring of animals and helping people.
- Previous experience working with animals, such as veterinary technician, pet grooming, kennel, or veterinary assistant is preferred.
- Professional, responsible, honest, trustworthy and personable.
- Be in good physical and mental health.
- Have personal or professional experience caring for pets of all sizes.
- Enjoy working independently and in a team environment.
- Certifications in pet care, pet CPR is a plus.
- Must be able to speak and communicate well with clients and team.
- Must be able to write status reports for the client in a clear and concise fashion.
- Be willing and able to walk in various types of weather.
- Be legal to work in the US.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must provide excellent care and love for our client's pets.
- Must be reliable, dependable and trustworthy.
- Must have prior experience with pets.
- Must be able to walk for long periods of time and connect with the dogs you are walking.
- Must be able to walk in all types of weather.
- Enjoy meeting clients for consultations and “meet & greets”.
- Must be punctual, courteous, genuine.
- Must clearly communicate with clients, the office and fellow team members.
- Provide detailed, well-written report cards and photos for the client after each visit.
- Provide updates for each client through our app.
COMPENSATION:
- Team members will receive 100% of tips provided by the client for the service you rendered.
