What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Driver/Dog Handler Assistant position at Doggy Deuce Removal Service?
We're seeking a Driver/Dog Handler to join our expanding team!
As a Driver/Dog Handler, you will safely transport our canine clients between locations.
When not driving, you will provide care for dogs in our facility.
Duties will include but not limited to:
- transport dogs in a timely and safe manner
- communicate and report all relevant information to the facilities in a timely manner
- excel in customer service and communications
- adhere to all local traffic and parking laws
- follow and complete detailed instructions
- disinfect and clean the vehicle after each shift
- move materials, supplies, and equipment between facilities as needed
- assist in all aspects of our Dog Handler role including monitoring dog groups, cleaning rooms and facility, and bringing dogs to and from their owner and/or home
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to drive commercial-sized van (CDL license is NOT REQUIRED)
- Familiarity with Northern New Jersey, main roadways, and traffic patterns
- Must be able to lift 40lbs , climb stairs and perform physical requirements of the job
- Comfortable with and enjoy working around dogs of all breeds and sizes
- Reliable and punctual
- Availability to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Training Period: Two Weeks ($13/hour)
Once the candidate successfully completes training, the hourly pay will be $18/hour.
