Founded by a lawyer-turned-whiskey-entrepreneur, Doggy Paddle is all about flipping the script. Our mission? Make whiskey accessible, crushable, and the go-to choice for anyone tired of vodka sodas and tequila clichés.
We are launching in NYC with one simple goal: get our premium bourbon-based cocktails into as many hands, fridges, and bar backs as possible.
The Role: Founding Salesperson
This is not your typical sales gig. You’re not inheriting a pipeline or dialing from a script. You’re boots-on-the-ground, knocking on bar doors, dropping off sample kits, and following up with flair. You’ll be one of our first sales hires and a critical part of our early growth-building relationships with liquor stores, bar owners, distributors, and anyone who moves cases.
You’ll help shape the strategy, refine our pitch, and close the deals that get Doggy Paddle stocked, poured, and loved. You’ll be selling a product people want to drink - but they need to taste it first. Your job is to get it in front of them and make it stick.
What You’ll Do
- Own the full sales cycle from first taste to final PO - pitching, sampling, following up, and closing
- Build and manage relationships with liquor store buyers, bar managers, and distribution reps across NYC and beyond
- Drop off samples, follow up with confidence, and leave behind materials that get attention
- Track leads, feedback, and conversions - helping us learn what works and where to double down
- Be the face of the brand at tastings, events, and industry meetups
- Collaborate with marketing and leadership to refine our sales strategy, target accounts, and pitch materials
- Stay plugged into the RTD landscape and report back on competitor moves and market trends
Who You Are
- Hustler with heart - you’re energized by building something from scratch and love a good challenge
- Comfortable working autonomously and managing your own time, territory, and tactics
- Not afraid to hear “no,” and always curious enough to find a “yes”
- Confident communicator who can sell without sounding like a salesperson
- Passionate about brands, culture, and beverages—and excited to make Doggy Paddle a breakout name
- Proficient in basic tools like Google Docs and Sheets
- Must be 21

- You’ve worked in the alcohol space and know how to get products onto shelves and into coolers
- You’re familiar with NYC’s bar and retail scene and already know who to call
- You’ve got a creative streak and want to contribute ideas beyond sales - marketing, events, content, etc.
