The Daycare and Boarding Resort Associate
Doggyday Inn is a pet care facility offering daycare, boarding and grooming. As a Resort Associate, you will be responsible for taking the pets to and from the play area, engaging them with playtime, along with feeding, and maintaining cleanliness for them.
Essential Functions of the Resort Associate include:
- Most be bilingual (both English and Spanish)
- Welcome customers and their pets as they enter the resort while making a positive impression
- One to two years in a customer service role (Customer Service, Receptionist)
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Organize and process the check-in/check-outs; coordinating suite placement and walking the guest to their suite ensuring their needs are met
- Answer in-coming phone calls, listen and respond to voicemails, all in a timely, problem-solving manner
- Complete cashier and point of sale operations; able to communicate with leaving and in-coming staff, peers, and leadership
- Communicate and follow through with customers and resort leadership requests
- Maintain cleanliness of the entrance way and lobby including the restrooms
- Great problem solving to provide our guests and customers with a premier experience
- Cleans and maintains pet areas of the resort in such a manner to provide an odor-free and low-stress environment for the pets
- Follows directions on feeding times, amounts, and type of food
- Report any unusual behaviors, injuries, or critical information to management and veterinarian services if applicable
- Use proper dog handling techniques as instructed by management
- Maintain a high standard of cleaning
- Maintain a high standard of pet safety
- True passion for working with animals
- Experience in a boarding/day-camp setting preferred
- Reliable and flexible to resort schedule needs including days, night, weekends, holidays, and peak times
- Able to learn to work with and handle a variety of sizes and breeds of dogs
- Ability to receive instructions and remain adaptive to change and training material
Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
