The Finance team is seeking a Finance Coordinator who will be responsible for processing all incoming donations and helping our constituents in achieving their philanthropic goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Entering donations received from outside constituents ensuring that they are processed accurately and timely.
- Respond promptly to donor phone calls and emails.
- Answer questions from donors regarding their donations and send them additional information if needed.
- Work closely with the Database Analyst to ensure constituent information is entered correctly into the database.
- Work closely with the Philanthropy team on any coding questions and submit reclassifying entries if needed.
- Process all donor acknowledgement letters and work closely with the Stewardship Writer on the processing of major gifts.
- Properly acknowledge all tribute gifts in a timely manner.
- Prepare daily check deposit.
- Prepare weekly cash deposit.
- Will serve as back-up support for other Finance Department functions as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and two years of related experience, or one-year certificate from a college or technical school with one year or more of experience.
- Database experience is required with previous use of Blackbaud products (Raisers Edge) a plus.
- Ability to use moderate levels of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent customer service skills.
