Catering Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, assisting with food preparation, setup, and customer service during events. This position is perfect for individuals who have a passion for the food industry and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Most of our events are outside.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for catering events.
• Set up and break down catering equipment and supplies before and after events.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain cleanliness in all work areas.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with guests and addressing their needs during events.
• Support the catering team in executing banquet services, including serving food and beverages.
• Help manage inventory by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages to supervisors.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food items to events.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering, food service, or restaurant environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience as a dietary aide or in fine dining settings is a plus.
• Bartending experience is beneficial but not required.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: $15.64 - $16.52 per hour
