Professional Dog Groomer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care and grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming tasks including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets according to breed standards or client preferences.
• Perform high quality, detailed grooms.
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require veterinary attention.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets’ grooming needs and aftercare.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in good working condition.
• Handling pets in a friendly, safe way
• Lift and move pets as needed, which may involve heavy lifting for larger breeds.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pet grooming is required (1 years)
• Strong knowledge of pet care practices, including animal handling and restraint techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
• Experience in kennel settings or as a veterinary assistant is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals.
• Familiarity with dog training techniques is beneficial but not mandatory.
