Dog Trainer

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dog Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dog handling and training, with the ability to work effectively with various breeds and temperaments. As a Dog Trainer, you will be responsible for teaching obedience and behavioral skills to dogs while also providing guidance to their owners on effective training techniques. Your role will contribute significantly to the well-being of pets and the satisfaction of their owners.

Duties

• Conduct individual training sessions for dogs of all ages and skill levels.
• Develop customized training programs based on the specific needs of each dog and owner.
• Utilize a balance training techniques to encourage desired behaviors in dogs.
• Monitor and assess the progress of each dog throughout the training process.
• Maintain a safe and clean training environment for both dogs and clients.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's progress and any behavioral concerns.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure comprehensive animal care and support.

Skills

• Proficient in dog handling techniques, demonstrating confidence and control with various breeds.
• Experience in dog training methodologies, including obedience training and behavioral modification.
• Knowledge of animal care practices, including grooming, health monitoring, and basic veterinary assistance.
• Strong customer service skills to effectively engage with pet owners and address their concerns.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when handling larger breeds or equipment.
• Familiarity with kennel operations and animal care standards is a plus.
