Description


Dogwood Veterinary Specialty & Emergency is seeking a dynamic and proactive Veterinary Referral Coordinator to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing referral processes, building and fostering relationships with referring veterinarians, and supporting the clinic’s marketing and community engagement efforts. You will act as the primary point of contact for referring practices and clients, and will help expand our referral base and internal culture through active relationship-building and strategic outreach.
This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to play an essential role in the continued growth and success of our hospital.

Location: 1234 Powers Ferry Common SE, Marietta, GA 30067
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM


Key Responsibilities


Referral Coordination & B2B Relations
  • Build Strong Community Relationships: Take the initiative to develop and expand our referral base by actively reaching out to new primary veterinarians and maintaining long-term relationships with current partners.
  • Foster & Maintain Relationships: Ensure referring veterinarians view Dogwood Veterinary Specialty & Emergency as a trusted partner for all their referrals.
  • Client & Referral Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for referred clients, managing their journey from initial consultation to case closure.
  • Vet Relations: Act as the liaison for referring veterinarians (rDVMs), addressing concerns and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Outreach & Marketing: Develop targeted marketing materials to promote the clinic’s services to referring veterinarians, including videos, emails, and print materials.
  • Track & Report: Keep detailed records of all referral-related activities and data. Provide regular reports to the Medical Director and Hospital Director.
Event Planning & Community Engagement
  • Plan & Coordinate Events: Lead the planning and execution of community and staff events, including Howl-O-Ween, Vet Tech Week, and holiday celebrations.
  • Continuing Education Events: Organize educational events for referring veterinarians, including the grand opening of our new location and open house events.
  • Networking & Conferences: Represent Dogwood Veterinary Specialty & Emergency at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build our reputation in the veterinary community.
Culture Ambassador
  • Promote Positive Work Culture: Lead initiatives to foster an inclusive, engaging, and supportive workplace.
  • Employee Engagement: Plan team-building activities, conduct feedback sessions, and develop programs that ensure all team members feel valued and supported.
  • Champion Company Values: Advocate for Dogwood’s core values, ensuring they are integrated into the workplace culture.
Talent Acquisition & Recruiting
  • Recruitment Oversight: Manage recruitment efforts, working closely with the hiring team to source and interview candidates for open positions.
  • Staff Development: Assist in training new employees and refining onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration into the team.
Marketing
  • Social Media & Marketing Campaigns: Review and enhance social media presence, suggest areas of improvement, and collaborate with the team to create content such as educational videos and marketing collateral.


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise


  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of customer service experience, with at least 5 years in an administrative, marketing, or referral management role.
  • Bilingual: Proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Veterinary Knowledge: Strong understanding of veterinary practices, medical terminology, and procedures.
  • Relationship-Oriented: Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with veterinary partners and clients.
  • Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, staff, and external partners.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with digital tools and marketing platforms, including social media, email campaigns, and video production.
  • Marketing Expertise: Experience in creating compelling marketing materials, including videos, emails, and print collateral.
