Company Description
This company is a privately held and managed group of integrated third-party logistics companies established in 1978 providing warehousing logistics, fulfillment, quality control services, transportation services, real estate leasing, and development for its customers. They have expanded beyond the initial St. Joseph, Michigan operation to and now control approximately 2 million square feet of commercial warehouse space that specializes in supply chain logistics.
What a Forklift Operator will do :
- Successfully operate a power industrial forklift by moving levers, pressing pedals, and controlling lifting apparatus
- Perform daily forklift inspections and follow forklift operating guidelines
- Safely operate sit down forklift trucks to transport, stack, and organize products within the RDC
- Safely load and unload trucks (receive / process), put-away and pick product, and maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness
- Ensure accurate and timely movement of product to meet operational goals using scanning equipment
- Assist in inventory management by following policy and procedures
- Identify, report, and fix damaged inventory and shortages throughout the day
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while operating forklift trucks.
- Replace forklift propane tank and / or charge batteries, as needed
