Company Summary
This Company has been serving up inspiring, mouth-watering, and memorable desserts for over 40 years. They are a leading provider of premium frozen thaw-and-serve desserts to the food service and in-store retail industries. Their product line includes cheesecakes, layer cakes, pies and tarts, brownies / bars, and individual minis and specialty desserts.
What a Quality Assurance Technician will do :
- Inspect all areas of the facility for GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) compliance, including sanitizer concentration, water temperatures, and cooler / freezer conditions
- Conduct weight checks in the Bakery, Icing, and Packaging areas; verify oven temperatures, perform metal detection, and label checks
- Confirm production standards and ensure proper documentation is completed
- Review and manage paperwork for HACCP, CCP, CP, SOP, and prerequisite programs, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and effective
- Monitor line cleaning processes, including cleanliness, water temperatures, and ATP analysis of food contact surfaces
- Perform and document routine inspections of finished products
- Observe production processes and record relevant data
- Retrieve samples from the warehouse for testing
- Participate in material review meetings and provide input on addressing product defects
- Track defects and share findings with appropriate personnel
- Promote food safety by upholding high-quality standards
