Job Summary:
Doherty Steel, Inc. is a leading steel fabrication and erection company in the Midwest with a state-of-the-art facility.
The Senior Project Estimator will be responsible for providing accurate bid proposals and scope analysis for potential projects.
This role involves reviewing drawings, specifications, and other documents to successfully bid jobs at a profit.
The ideal candidate will have experience in working with purchasing, labor, equipment, and transportation costs.
- Negotiate with customers and communicate with DSI staff
- Work with the Project Manager following a successful bid, to ensure an accurate transferring of information and defining of scope, including revisions, additions, and deletions
- Continue to work with Project Management on pricing issues pertaining to the bid or to revisions
The preferred candidate will have strong computer skills, particularly in Tekla EPM PowerFab.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 per year for Senior Level
