Are you looking for an EHS role to start immediately? Hiring a temporary EHS Specialist located in Stillwater, MN for a medical industry. This position will help implement procedures, assist in evaluating regulations, and manage hazardous waste programs. This is a six-month contract paying between $31-$36/hr depending on experience. EHS Responsibilities:
- Manage hazardous waste program for collection, storage, transportation, and final disposal of hazardous waste
- Participate in safety training programs, while overseeing the Safety Data Sheets, chemical labeling, and Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
- Assist in developing, and implementing chemical, biological, and general safety policies and procedures
- Manage worker compensation program to result in effective claim management
- Review product manufacturing documents and packaging/labeling
EHS Qualifications:
- 4-year degree preferred, or Technical Degree & relevant experience required.
- Knowledge of applicable safety laws i.e. OSHA, EPA, etc.
- Must communicate well with all employees, within every level of the organization.
