Dohrn is seeking a Full Time Safety Supervisor in the IL or WI area.
This position would operate out of our Rock Island, IL, Peru, IL, Chicago, IL, or Milwaukee, WI terminal.
Pay ranges between $45,000-$65,000/year
Hours Monday-Friday

Essential Functions

Essential Functions
- Conduct monthly Safety Meetings
- Conduct Driver and Dock training and re-training
- Perform post-accident and post-injury reviews
- Perform Safety Audits
- Ensure DOT, OSHA, and EPA compliance
- Travel to all terminals to conduct Safety Meetings, trainings, and audits
- Perform other duties as needed
- Valid Driver License
- Experience driving Tractor-Trailer required
- Experience in Driver Training and Safety required
- Must Possess valid driver license (CDL) issued by the resident state of the driver
- No record of citation or conviction of any DUI / OWI or Reckless Driving or any disqualifying events within the previous 5 years
- Must have and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Familiarity with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing Transportation industry
- Understanding of DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills needed to effectively communicate with drivers, dock personnel, and middle and upper management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented, analytical thinker, and problem-solver
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a team environment or independently
- Extensive travel required to all outer terminals
- Excellent attendance
- Extensive travel required weekly to all remote terminals (4-5 days per week)
- Primarily sedentary work, which involves sitting most of the time
- May be occasionally required to exert up to 10 pounds of force and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- The general office environment is favorable; Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are minimal hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc;
- Visual Acuity including regular use of items including a computer screen or monitor
- Manual dexterity is regularly required including fingering, grasping, and typing; manual dexterity includes repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers
- Talking and hearing required to communicate with and listen to others to share or receive information; will be exposed to noise including telephone, office machinery, and conversations of others
- May be subject to the Working Conditions of a Driver or Dockworker in the line of training and or safety audits
Salary : $45,000 - $65,000
