Job Description:
Doing Things is looking for a strategic and creative Director of Integrated Marketing that can build out marketing materials and proposals for our growing list of clients. As part of the Integrated Marketing team you are integral to the pre-sale and pitch process, ensuring that we are strategically positioning our product offerings and creative solutions in a way that best addresses the client’s brief.
At Doing Things, we offer a creative-first approach to sales marketing proposals and pitches and are seeking someone with a deep understanding of advertiser’s challenges and the ability to craft a strong story within our proposals.
In addition to managing a team of 2 integrated marketing managers, day to day responsibilities include building materials that answer a client’s Request for Proposal, working hand in hand with the Creative team to build out thoughtful sales packages, working closely with the Sales team to understand their needs in the marketplace and their client’s marketplace challenges, and a deep understanding of our content & product offerings.
We are looking for someone in the New York area, who is willing to work from our New York City office on a hybrid schedule, approximately 2-3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Brainstorming with the sales team and creative team on creative strategy and solutions
- Having a strong understanding of the social media landscape (creators, memes, shows) that pertain / help the RFP
- Run point on coordinating and communicating with the right internal teams to ensure a timely response on proposals.
- Strategic deck building and ongoing collaboration with sellers, account managers, and creative team
- Building slides that focus on the strategy and solution of our proposal
- Create slides that articulate our offering
- Assist in the development of marketing materials for key editorial tentpoles moments
- Strong interpersonal and cross-department communication skills
- Strong written skills and ability to transfer to storytelling and deck writing
- Have a good grasp of basic design skills via programs like Google Slides, Canva, etc.
- Keeps abreast of industry trends
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years experience working as a marketing manager or brand strategist in a social media or publisher environment
- 2-3 years managerial experience
- Very online. Deep knowledge of the social media content landscape - specifically memes, creators, and viral content and the general zeitgeist.
- Basic design skills to build proposals via tools such as Google Slides, Canva.

- Effective time management and organizational skills, as well as strong attention to detail

The base salary for this position at the time of posting will range from $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 USD. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility, and qualifications.
