Dojo Networks specializes in providing fully managed Internet service to apartment communities. We are a State College, PA based company seeking additional technical staff to help us build/maintain our high-performance networks and provide very responsive customer support. We are a fast-growing Internet Service Provider who primarily serves multi-dwelling units, but also runs and manages our own fiber metro networks.
Job Summary
The Sales Engineer I (SEI) mission is to provide presale support as well as post sale-implementation of specified Managed WIFI solutions for Multi Dwelling Units (MDU) customers. The SE will support the entire Sales organization and will be responsible for New Sales and Customer Retention support. The Sales Engineer is responsible to provide support and is also charged with providing presale support and consultation on extremely complex applications. This position is a more entry level engineering position with Dojo commitment to train and develop an SE in design of MDU WIFI Networks using Fiber and Ethernet wiring.
The Sales Engineer function combines various aspects of sales, network engineering, customer application design, technical support and customer service. The Sales Engineer works directly with the Sales Force, participating in sales calls, designing solutions and helping to satisfy the Customer's need for qualified, well-designed products and services.
The SE will function primarily in data and network delivery capacities, providing qualified information and design services.
Responsibilities
- Provide Sales Team members with presale technical expertise.
- Consults with Account Executives and their prospects regarding any technical questions and concerns regarding Dojo services.
- SE prepares designs, cost model and Bill of Materials for all projects pre and post-sale.
- Participate in presentations to potential customers and explain the technical advantages of Dojo services.
- Assist Sales Rep with sales opportunities requiring documentation, diagrams, maps and other items as needed.
- Create predictive heat map designs, blue print mark up using Blue Beam.
- Interface with customers to determine technical requirements for Dojo Services.
- Communication skills for both verbal and written communication are essential to this position.

- Ensure customer's requirements are met, while internal procedures are followed.
- Assist Strategic Sales Representatives in the gathering of data from all Dojo to respond to RPF/RFI's.
- Participate in special projects and perform other support duties, as required.

- Minimum of 3 years of Telecommunications Sales/Technical experience.
- Working Knowledge of Video, Voice, Data networking, Data Storage and Internet Access services.
- Knowledgeable of general industry IP networking knowledge, firewall, VPN
- Working knowledge of MS Office and PC-based network utility tools.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient time management skills.
- Must be comfortable conversing expertly and clearly with customers and their IT personnel.
- Valid Drivers' License and access to reliable transportation required.
- Key Experiences/Achievements
- BSEE or equivalent work experience Working knowledge of competitor's services and networks.
- Prefer CWNA (Wireless Certification)
Minimum Qualifications:
● 3 years of relevant experience with minimum AS degree or equivalent experience.
● Prefer experience utilizing Ekahau, Ekahau Certified or equivalent software/certifications.
● Proven customer service and problem-solving skills, working remote or on-site with customers and vendors.
● Prefer some knowledge in network design and Apartment and LV construction including Cat6, 6a, fiber networks.
● Service Provider background is a plus.
● Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
● Some knowledge of networking concepts and environments
● Ability to perform well in a team environment, including the accurate transfer of information and task hand-off
● Prefer some background in customer care
● Valid driver's license and clean driving record
● Ability to travel to neighboring cities as required
