Summary Of Position
Doka USA is looking for a Yard Manager to support the Mountain branch in Commerce City, CO. The Yard Manager reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for the overall management of the yard ensuring an extremely efficient, safe organized yard operation.
Responsibilities
- Maintains an organized, efficient, and safe yard operation.
- Plans manpower needs based on business demands while monitoring overtime.
- Leads, trains, and develops a cohesive team with a focus on safety, tool maintenance, and product knowledge.
- Ensures employees use approved safety equipment and enforces compliance with safety policies.
- Conducts weekly safety meetings and ensures safe working practices are strictly followed.
- Manages facility equipment upkeep, ensuring all tools and machinery are operational and regularly serviced.
- Oversees inventory quality, conducts monthly inspections, and reports findings.
- Ensures proper tool availability at workspaces and orders replacements per company policies.
- Manages logistics of materials to optimize storage and prevent congestion.
- Maintains yard and warehouse cleanliness in accordance with company standards.
- Ensures a trained and certified welder is available if required.
- Safely performs physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy materials with assistance or equipment as needed.
Other Responsibilities/Peripheral Functions
- Occasional travel as required. Flexible to work as needed.
- Other duties/projects as assigned, including participating in company committees/teams.
- Complies with all corporate policies and business practices.
- Continually enhances technical skills with additional PC Training and DISCOS II training.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Technical Proficiency
- High school graduate. Associates Degree in related field preferred.
- 4 years recent supervisory experience in yard, inventory or warehouse management.
- Facilitates projects and effectively manages multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing). Bilingual Spanish a plus.
- Possesses strong leadership skills, effectively manages a diverse team and achieves results.
- Qualitative abilities including strong analytical skills, technical proficiency and effective problem solving skills.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office applications.
- Willing and able to learn new computer systems, products, concepts and techniques.
- Organized team leader able to work independently in a results-driven, fast-paced environment.

Compensation: $75,000 annually
