We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety (H&S) Specialist to support our AMER locations and manage our global ergonomics program.

This role will involve conducting onsite and remote ergonomic assessments and ensuring a safe and healthy workplace environment across all AMER locations. The H&S Specialist will join the Global EHS team and report directly to the Global EHS Manager. This role will require the employee to be in the office at least 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Health & Safety support to all AMER locations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
• Develop, implement, and manage a global ergonomics program aimed at preventing workplace injuries and promoting employee well-being.
• Conduct thorough ergonomic assessments both onsite and remotely, identifying risk factors and recommending appropriate solutions to mitigate potential ergonomic issues.
• Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs and educational materials to enhance employees' understanding of ergonomics and safe working practices.
• Permitting: Manage and secure necessary permits for various operations and projects.
• Policy Development: Create and update H&S policies and procedures to reflect best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Incident Investigation: Investigate workplace incidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Risk Assessment: Perform regular risk assessments and audits to identify hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
• Assist with budget analysis and variance research as needed.
• Set up new vendors, follow up on required paperwork from vendors; invoice management.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, operations, and facilities management, to integrate H&S considerations into all aspects of the business.
• Support facilities projects and onsite support, as needed;
• Be a local point of contact for other Places team members.
  
  

The Atlanta Area base salary range for this full-time position is $70,100-$93,600, which can vary if outside this location, plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
