Overview
Purpose :

Cleaning and sanitizing all processing equipment, floors, walls, pipes, drain, grounds, etc. Lead and train new employees, issue, monitor and report inventory of both Chemicals and PPE’s.
Responsibilities
Primary Accountabilities :
- Responsible to comply with all Quality and Food Safety Management standards and / or systems to ensure continual improvement and effectiveness of the Food Safety Management System with the ability to satisfy our customers and provide products that are in accordance to their intended use and safe for human consumption.
- Wash down and sanitize all processing equipment, floors, walls, pipes, drains, grounds, etc.
- Use cleaning chemicals, i.e. chlorine, lye, and detergents.
- Immediately report any accidents to Area Supervisor or Supervisor.
- Immediately report any malfunctions of processing equipment to Area Supervisor or Supervisor.
- Report any safety hazard to Area Supervisor or Supervisor.
- Supervise employees in their areas of responsibility on the line
- Be responsible for operation of line and area when assigned
- Be sure all employees go on break and return at the proper time
- Train, assign employees to work area and evaluate employee, give feedback to Sanitation Manager on employee progress
- Issue, maintain inventory and track off PEE’s
- Must monitor Cleaning Chemicals for proper inventory
- Must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines
- Must, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with co-workers, supervisor and management
- Follow company policies
- Follow safety procedures
- Other duties that are reasonable associated with the above essential functions of the job
- Assist Manager / Area Supervisor with chemical documentation
- Assist Area Supervisor when task arise for support
- Must be able to speak, read and write both English and Spanish
