JOB SUMMARY
The Support/Multifunction Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating and maintaining mobile and/or stationary equipment to relieve or backfill other team members. This is a 1st shift position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Operates and maintains mobile and/or stationary equipment to relieve/backfill Production and Retail Operators
- Follows all company policies and local, state, and federal regulations (MSHA, etc.) for safe, environmentally conscious working procedures
- Performs daily pre‐and‐post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
- Cleans the plant(s), equipment, and breakrooms and maintains designated work area (stockpiles, etc.)
- Utilizes understanding of the capabilities of equipment of various sizes and weights
- Performs minor servicing and maintenance of equipment or facilities
- Assists with major repairs as needed
- Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must possess a safe work history
- Must have a good record of behavior and attendance
- Have a positive attitude and proactive approach to our safety program
- Willingness to do other work as needed, including heavy labor
- Ability to operate and monitor equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections; repair and/or clean equipment as needed
- Ability to comprehend and complete all needed paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collectively in a team environment
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including swing shift, graveyard shift, nights, overtime, and weekends as required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Lift objects of various dimensions and up to 75 lbs. of weight occasionally and 50 lbs. of weight frequently
- Ability to work near, around, or on light or heavy equipment
- Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and climb ladders
- Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects
- Ability to use vibration tools frequently
- Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions
- Ability to repeatedly reach, squat, and tolerate prolonged standing/walking/sitting
- Ability to repeatedly walk on uneven surfaces
