Weekend Merchandiser - Part Time

Job Title: Weekend Merchandiser Status: Part Time; Non-Exempt

Department: Sales Location: Davenport, IA

Schedule: Typically Saturday 6am-2pm and Sunday 6am-12pm, hours are somewhat flexible - More hours may be worked if candidate has availablility. (not required)

Position Description:

The Weekend Merchandiser is responsible for stocking shelves and rotating products in designated grocery and super store center. In addition, this position is responsible for the performance of all duties within the objectives, standards, mission, and policies of Doll Distributing LLC, State of Iowa laws and regulations governing the beer industry, and brewery/supplier requirements.

Essential Functions:

· Stock shelves, displays, and coolers with products daily primarily at grocery stores and super store centers in accordance with company and brewery merchandising standards

· Manage incoming product at stores by emptying trucks and pallets and placing product in back stock or shelves

· Organize product using proper rotation standards for freshness and quality, face product on shelves

· Condense and organize back stock and backrooms at customer locations to ensure cleanliness at all times

· Prepare damaged and outdated product for pickup and return

· Place proper point-of-sale materials on mail shelf, displays, and coolers

· Exhibit strong commitment to the service needs of the external customer

· Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner

· Compliance with all company safety guidelines

· Other duties as assigned

Non Essential Functions:

· Build, set, or move product displays at customer locations

· Assist sales reps with various tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Must be 19 years of age

• High school diploma or GED

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information

• Ability to work within multiple locations within assigned territory

• Provide own transportation to and from multiple work site locations

• Must have insured personal vehicle for transportation between accounts and provide the company with updated insurance as it renews

Working Conditions:

• Temperature/Climate

o This position will spend 90% (Constant) of the shift in a climate-controlled environment and 10% (Occasionally) of the shift in an outdoor environment

• Safety Considerations

o This position drives personal vehicle to customer locations in various weather conditions

• Physical/Mental Organizational Capabilities

o Ability to walk, stand, stoop, sit, bend, and climb stairs – Frequently.

o Ability to safely lift up to 24 lbs. without assistance, floor to waist level, waist to shoulder level – Frequently

o Ability to safely lift up to 24 lbs. without assistance, shoulder level to overhead – Occasionally.

o Ability to push/pull up to 68 lbs – Occasionally.

o Ability to lift a maximum of 165 lbs. with appropriate equipment – Occasionally

o Handle (Grasp, Turn, Seize, Hold) – Constantly

o Reach up to 84 inches – Occasionally

o Enter and Exit forklift or pallet jack ( up to 17 inches) – Frequently

o Ability to pay attention to detail, problem solve, troubleshoot, and make decisions – Constantly.

o Requires significant demands on these physical requirements throughout the entire work shift with tasks performed in all weather conditions.
