Position Description:
Reporting to the AM and PM Warehouse Manager this position is responsible for, but not limited to, checking in of company delivery trucks returning to warehouse and handling the Fleet Loader computer system. Additionally, this position will assist in general warehouse functions as needed. Performs all duties within the objectives, standards, mission and policies of Doll Distributing LLC; State of Iowa laws and regulations governing the beer industry; and brewery/supplier requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Performs timely/accurate check-in of company delivery trucks as they arrive; removes dunnage and places in proper location.
- Assists in any of the daily tasks such as but not limited to receiving, pick line replenishment, close to code, out of code processing.
- Uses a scanner and mobile device to identify items to be picked to build orders
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy in building products and loading trucks
- Communicates with PM Warehouse Manager on completion of routes to initiate the building process.
- Must know and comply with Anheuser-Busch and other suppliers product freshness and rotation policies.
- Must be able to read, understand and interpret all product code dates.
- Exhibits strong commitment to the service needs of the internal/external customer.
- Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner.
- Compliance with all company and equipment safety regulations.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Any other work as assigned.
Non Essential Functions:
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse (beer leveled and plastic removed from pallet)
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Knowledge:

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook)

Basic mathematical aptitude skills

Ability/aptitude to learn/master functions of Fleet Loader software; train others as back-up

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize work functions

Ability to obtain certification in forklift, electric pallet-jack operations

Ability to work with a diverse group of people and customers
Qualifications:

18 year of age or older
-
High School or GED (General Education Diploma) required.

1-5 years warehouse distribution experience required
Working Conditions:

Temperature/Climate

This position will spend 90% of the shift in a climate-controlled environment and 10% of the shift in an outdoor environment

Safety Considerations

This position may occasionally drive a semi-tractor trailer which ranges from 36ft to 60ft

This position will routinely drive forklift trucks, pallet-jacks and other cleaning equipment.

Steel-toed boots/shoes with skid-proof soles may be required

Physical/Mental Organizational Capabilities

The individual in this role must possess the ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, and climb stairs on a frequent basis. Must have the ability to safely lift a minimum of 24 lbs. without assistance, waist level, waist to should level, shoulder level to overhead. Must have ability to push/pull/lift a maximum of 165 lbs. with appropriate equipment. Requires significant demands on these physical requirements through entire work shift with tasks performed in all weather conditions. The ability to pay attention to detail, problem solve, troubleshoot, and make decisions is required.
