What are the responsibilities and job description for the MARINE Metal Fabricator Welder Ship Builder (EXPERIENCED) position at Doll Marine Metal Fabrication?
We are seeking a Marine Metal Fabricator to become an integral part of our team!
Our team is looking for an experienced welder for our fabrication shop to support a robust and growing company.
The ideal candidate will have several years of metal fabrication experience in the marine industry working in the shop and the field.
- Comfortable with welding various gauge metals and decorative metals such as Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and more.
- 3 to 5 years of TIG and MIG welding experience (requirement).
- Ability to grind welds smoothly, counter sink holes, drill and tap holes, cut material to length, and understand complex geometry for items such as staircases or curved items.
- Experience with metal fabrication; boat building, replates, tube & pipe work and handrails.
- Being able to read blueprints, meet deadlines, and communicate with management is a requirement.
- Boat Yard welding.
Ultimately, the successful candidate will have vast experience in metal fabrication shops, is creative and can come up with unique solutions to complex fabricating problems, enjoys metal fabrication, and is willing to work with management to develop work schedules around their schedule – while ensuring that deadlines are met for order completion.
