Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service leadership and ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.
- Assist the Store Manager with scheduling employees, providing training, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage merchandise, including receiving, stocking, and rotating inventory to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining planograms to ensure merchandise is presented according to established practices.
- Ensure financial integrity of the store through strict cashier accountability, key control, and adherence to cash control procedures.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
- One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
- Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations.
- Good organization skills with attention to detail.
Working Conditions: This role requires frequent walking and standing, frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling, and occasional climbing. You will also be required to handle merchandise and equipment, and occasionally drive your own vehicle to make bank deposits and attend management meetings.
