General Summary:
The Director of Insights be responsible for developing and leading the reporting & insights in support of strategic efforts both internally and externally by identify ways to maximize advertiser media investment, bring innovation ideas, and deeper knowledge of the customer we serve.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage Marketing / Measurement analysts driving standard reports and insights
- Identify Marketing and industry analytics needs
- Formulates recommendation for cross functional teams including Sales, Digital Marketing, Planning & Buying and Ad product
- Oversees omnichannel efforts and aggregates all sources of insights to support Sales / Category strategy (incl., Digital and non-digital media efforts)
- Engage with clients as a thought leader/contributor
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven experience evaluating media performance and insights to provide thought leadership and recommendations for action
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, written, presentation, people, and diplomacy skills
- Executive presence and readiness to engage with C-suite leadership
- Ability to oversee, lead, and develop team members cross functionally (ex. Category Marketing, Sales/Partnership Marketing, Data Science, Planning & Buying and Tech teams)
- Ability to navigate with cross functional tech teams and managing tech solution architects for ad hoc development needs
- Bias for action to manage and make decisions to advance the work in a fast-paced environment
Work Experience &/or Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5-7 years of experience in Digital Analytics Management, Digital Marketing Insights or Reporting Management role at a publisher, ad network, or retail media network in a consultative experience
- 5 years of people management experience OR in a leadership individual contributor role
- Experience with data visualization tools — (e.g., Tableau, Power BI.) Retail analytics; Nielsen or IRI experience is a plus; basic to intermediate level of SQL knowledge is a plus.
- Expert in analytical tools and statistical models, with ability to create a system for data science translation into business terms, and derive a story and strategy from data and a deep understanding of DataFrames.
