Company Overview
The primary responsibility of the Inventory Accounting Supervisor is to oversee the execution of 20 million drop ship invoices annually, communicating all issues between vendor partners and internal teams to prevent/minimize discrepancies in payment remittances. Additional responsibility for managing/auditing store PIAA (physical inventory adjustment application) transactions, work load simplification, and team personnel.
Job Details
- Oversee accuracy of Drop Ship/BWS/Tobacco invoice payments. Communicate resolutions to vendor partners and internal teams.
- Monitor processed invoices / PIAA transactions to ensure financial inventory level accuracy for store reconciliations, process financial and/or inventory adjustments
- Answer questions and resolve problems for stores and other field personnel concerning transaction sheet, drop shipments, HHT adjustments, etc.
- Record and monitor employee productivity and attendance to ensure departmental efficiency
- Provide reporting on PIAA transactions to ensure accuracy
- Ability to communicate effectively in order to maintain a relationship with vendors and internal departments (verbal and written)
- Ability to analyze departmental procedures in order to streamline processes
- Ability to effectively monitor and develop team members to ensure productivity of department
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting
- Proficient with Excel, Access, and Word, AS400/Island Pacific
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, or other related field and a minimum of two
years’ experience in inventory management, accounts payable, or inventory control required. A
minimum of two years of supervisory experience or equivalent is required. Two to three years
retail management experience a plus. Knowledge of data warehouses (1010data, WebFocus, and
AS400/Island Pacific) preferred.
