Job Summary:
The Lead Sales Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. This includes assisting customers, operating a cash register, stocking and recovering merchandise, cleaning the store, and performing other duties as assigned by the Store Manager to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide superior customer service leadership and greet customers promptly.
- Operate cash registers and scanners to itemize and total purchases, collect payment from customers, and make change.
- Stock merchandise, restock and rotate merchandise on shelves, and build displays according to planograms.
- Clean the store, including taking out trash, dusting and mopping floors, and cleaning restrooms and stockrooms.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining planograms.
- Open and close the store under the direction of the Store Manager.
Requirements:
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Understanding of safety policies and practices.
- Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
- Mathematical calculation skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Cash handling procedures knowledge, including cashier accountability and deposit control.
