About the Job
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment while providing top-notch customer service. As a key member of the sales team, this individual will operate cash registers, stock shelves, and recover merchandise as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers promptly and provide assistance with purchases
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the cash register
- Maintain a clean and safe shopping environment by restocking shelves and recovering merchandise
- Implement and maintain planograms and displays to optimize visual merchandising
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues
- A strong understanding of safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents
- Ability to read and follow instructions to implement planograms and displays
- Basic math skills to operate the cash register and process transactions accurately
Working Conditions:
- Frequent walking and standing during the workday
- Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling to access stock and merchandise
- Frequent handling of merchandise and equipment
- Occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds when necessary
- Occasional climbing and exposure to outside weather conditions
