Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Dollar Tree.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with all operational tasks within the store as delegated by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations.
- Contribute to the hiring, training, and development of store associates as assigned by the Store Manager.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
- Maintain store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to meet company standards, including recovery.
- When the Store Manager is absent, take direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
- Process SSC Corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
- Assist the Store Manager in receiving and returning DSD merchandise.
- Follow VIP and DSD Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure the sales floor remains sales-effective daily.
- Manage cashiering activities to adhere to company cash handling practices and guidelines.
- Support the management of seasonal area sales effectiveness.
- Process damaged merchandise daily.
- Manage store supplies and expense control.
- Maintain and enhance the checkout area for maximum impulse sales.
