Stagehand General Technician Foam Zone - Dollywood Theme Park - Seasonal

We are seeking a Stagehand/ General Technician who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while bringing families closer together and caring deeply about our brand. The right Stagehand/ General Technician checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.

The Foam Zone Guard exists to provide proactive guest supervision and service in and around the Foam Zone to include safety, friendliness, and outgoing personality. Additionally, the Foam Zone Guard is responsible for maintaining line speed within assigned areas.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• List all the job responsibilities
• Provide proactive guest supervision in and around Foam Zone pit areas
• Verbally communicate and enforce safety policies, procedures, and rules and report violations to Stage Manager.
• Visually observe guest actions to ensure a safe guest experience
• Maintain a count of guests as required, to ensure a consistent guest experience
• Provide Park information and initiate friendly and professional interactions with guests to Create Memories Worth Repeating™
• Must be able to interact with guests in an enthusiastic and outgoing way from the beginning of the Foam Zone queue line until they enter the Foam Zone Pits
• Must be engaged and interact with DJ performers on microphone, encouraging guest participation with enthusiasm

Education and Experience Required

• Must be at least 14 years of age
• Must have a high level of demonstrative and positive communication skills
• Over 17: Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen

• Able to sit, walk, run, and stand on concrete, uneven surfaces
• Able to bend, twist, and/or stoop for continuous periods
• Able to project voice and clearly speak with authority to direct guests who are acting in an unsafe manner
• Able to hear, see, and speak
• Able to speak, read, and write in English
• Able to have manual dexterity necessary to complete all job duties
• Able to sit and/or stand for long/short periods
• Able to maintain good personal hygiene
• Able to lift 50 pounds with or without a 2-person lift
• Able to wear all PPE as required
• Able to tolerate nontoxic special effects foam fluid
• Able to be subjected to periodic random drug screening as outlined by company policy
• Able to remain attentive and alert at all times
• Able to memorize written safety standards and/or scripts
• Able to speak clearly to include the use of P/A systems, if needed
