The Benefits Specialist position is an hourly / non-exempt position in the Human Resources department. Under general supervision the Benefits Specialist is responsible for assisting with the administration of employee benefit programs for the Dollywood Company and to comply with applicable regulations on matters relating to company sponsored benefits programs.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.
Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Assist hosts with Benefit enrollments and dis-enrollments through the host hub
- Distributes all benefit enrollment materials and determines eligibility
- Perform regular audits and quality checks of benefit data
- Assists Hosts regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes
- Processes and administers all leave of absence requests and paperwork : medical, personal, and FMLA
- Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they are related to leave of absences and accommodations
- Assists with annual enrollment process
- Prepares and communicates accurate and timely benefit information to Hosts and Corporate Office
- Provides services to Hosts to answer benefit-related questions, resolve problems related to access to or payment of benefits
- Serve as an on-site expert for all Dollywood benefits and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation including but not limited to the ADA, ACA, FMLA, COBRA, USERRA and HIPPA
- Assists with running reports, Host communication, and corporate requests
- Support Human Resources team with various events such as mass hiring days, rehire processing, Host events, etc.
