Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Body Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our auto collision center. The body shop manager will ensure that the shop conforms to safety standards and regulations, monitor employee performance, and provide customer service. They must also be able to stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology. The Body Shop Manager must also be able to motivate and inspire their team to meet the shop's goals.
Responsibilities
- Managing repairs: Overseeing the work of body shop employees to ensure repairs are done to a high standard and meet customer expectations.
- Maintaining quality: Ensuring that each vehicle is restored to its original condition.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with insurance adjusters.
- Directs and schedules the work of all body shop employees.
- Gives fair estimates on costs and time required for body work.
- Monitors progress and completion of vehicles in the shop, ensuring that proper repair and safety procedures are followed.
- Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
- Operate equipment that will re-program safety devices on vehicles.
- Writing supplemental estimates to insurance companies.
