Job Description:
Domani Inspections is seeking a Full-time candidate for a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) & UT Testing Certified to perform quality assurance inspections.
Responsibilities:
- Familiarity and experience with AASHTO/AWS D1.5/AASHTO/AWS D1.1
- Perform third party NYCDOB structural steel fabrication quality assurance inspection and reporting
- Utilize applicable AWS construction specifications
- Read and interpret shop drawings, specifications and project special provisions to verify compliance with material quality
- Ability to work closely with other fabrication, construction and quality personnel in a courteous and professional manner
- Perform Visual (UT) Testing inspection per applicable coded requirements
- Familiarity with inspecting and reporting high strength (Grade 325) bolts testing (rotational capacity/preinstallation verification) and reporting
- Familiarity with steel erection
- Ability to use the following: Laptop computer, cell (smart) phone, scanner and printer
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Word, internet, report writing, file (photograph and other) attachments
- Good English Language Verbal & Writing Skills
