What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent position at Dome Construction?
At Dome Construction, we believe in building more than just projects — we build relationships, teams, and long-term careers. We're looking for a Superintendent who thrives in the field, leads by example, and takes pride in delivering safe, high-quality work. If you're someone who knows how to keep projects moving, teams motivated, and standards high, this could be your next big opportunity.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Superintendent, you’ll take the lead on the ground — making sure everything is running safely, smoothly, and on schedule. You’ll:
- Manage day-to-day operations on-site for projects between $5M and $25M
- Guide field crews, trade partners, and internal teams through all phases of construction
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with regulations and Dome policies
- Coach and mentor team members to support their growth and success
- Oversee scheduling, logistics, and coordination with project managers and stakeholders
- Proactively identify and resolve issues before they become problems
- Maintain quality control throughout all phases of the build
What Makes You a Strong Fit
You bring experience, confidence, and a calm, solutions-oriented approach to fast-moving environments. Ideal candidates will have:
- 5–8 years of construction field leadership experience, preferably in commercial sectors
- A strong understanding of California building codes, permitting, and safety protocols
- Experience leading crews of up to 75 workers with minimal oversight
- A working knowledge of ground-up and interior buildout project types
- Familiarity with OSHA 30, Cal/OSHA, LEED, ADA compliance, and QA/QC practices
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- A valid driver’s license and the flexibility to travel between job sites across California
What It’s Like on the Job
You’ll spend most of your time in the field — walking job sites, running meetings, solving problems, and making sure teams are supported and aligned. Expect a physically active role, occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs), and consistent use of PPE. You’ll be navigating job sites, attending inspections, and helping guide projects through every phase.
Why Dome?
- You’ll work with a collaborative, people-focused team that genuinely supports one another
- You’ll build complex, meaningful projects that push you to grow
- We offer a competitive salary, full benefits, professional development opportunities, and a workplace grounded in respect and inclusion
Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
