We are seeking a reliable and skilled driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting dogs safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of various driving techniques and the ability to navigate different routes including rural areas, as well as cities (Boston, New York City, etc.), while adhering to safety regulations. Whether you are experienced in moving, delivery driving, or operating commercial vehicles, we welcome your expertise.
Responsibilities
- Operate a delivery van, ensuring the safe transport of dogs
- Load and unload dogs, ensuring proper handling and securing of dogs during transit.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to meet delivery schedules while minimizing delays.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents during transport.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues that arise on the road.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols while driving.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Driver in roles such as delivery driver or school bus driving.
- Excellent navigation skills with knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- A valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle being operated.
