Position Summary
The Bilingual Survivor Advocate & Community Liaison serves as an advocate, case manager, and point of contact between OHS and DVIS in order to provide client services, education, and consultation to those working with and those impacted by domestic and / or sexual violence. This position supports survivors through crisis intervention and case management while fostering a positive shelter environment. They collaborate with internal teams, external agencies, and OHS to enhance service delivery and communication. This role involves representing DVIS in community outreach and educational efforts. They also ensure coordination between DVIS and OHS to meet client needs and maintain effective service plans.

Responsibility for Confidentiality : The nature of this position requires safeguarding against the release of confidential and proprietary information of DVIS and its clients.
Contact with Others : This position will interact with managers at all levels and staff members across the organization, in addition to members of external organizations and the public
Requirements
Education : Bachelor's degree in a helping profession or in a related field preferred, or any equivalent combination of education and / or experience or lived experience.
Experience : Experience working with a nonprofit and with clients are strongly preferred, or any equivalent combination of experience, lived experience, and / or special skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Proven computer skills including Microsoft, Adobe, Canva, and an Electronic Health Record are necessary.
Knowledge of or experience working with social justice issues, specifically intimate partner, and gender-based domestic and sexual violence, and racial, class, gender, sexual orientation issues, and intervention / prevention services strongly preferred. Requires dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion, excellent organizational skills, written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize work and tasks. Requires adaptability to produce and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-task and changing environment, with frequent pressure related to meeting deadlines and scheduling requirements. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have the ability to handle sensitive information with diplomacy.

Schedule Availability : Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm, some evenings may be required. Total of 40 hours per week.
Licenses / Certifications : Valid driver's license required; current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
