Reports to: Director of Client Services
Part- time, non-exempt: 20 hours per week, 4 hours on Sunday, the remaining 16 hours can be flexible
Salary Range: $22/hour
The Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County is a non-profit organization providing comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence. The Residential Case Manager is responsible for providing trauma-informed services to survivors of domestic abuse including support, advocacy, case management, crisis intervention, and safety planning. The residential staff are also responsible for maintaining the daily operations of the residential housing program and facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Orient residents to the Safe Home. Communicate shelter expectations and communal living guidelines as outlined in the shelter policy and procedures manual to support them in creating an environment of trust and community.
- Provide case management services to residents residing in all 3 residential programs including but not limited to: securing basic needs, housing, safety, transportation, education, referrals for community resources, etc.
- Complete evaluation and assessments during the initial screening process for residential intake.
- Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the facilities; Prepare when residents enter and leave the program
- Facilitate cooperative living, peer support and resident participation
- Facilitate house meetings and address conflicts amongst residents
- Models and actively promotes positive, nurturing interactions between adults and children in shelter
- Support advocacy efforts with parents for children residing in the shelter program
- Follow all safety and security protocols pertaining to all 3 residential facilities.
- Initiate and facilitate regular and on-going educational and activity programming for children and families
- Maintain case management documentation for each residential client and communicate pertinent information to other essential staff
- Researches and creates links with established local and statewide resources for employment, housing and social service agencies
- Maintain/provide statistical and written reports as required
- Assist callers on our crisis help line and screen potential Safe Home residents
- Provide crisis support for victims face-to-face or on the phone as requested
- Adheres to agency policies and work rules, including strict adherence to DVRC’s confidentiality policies and code of ethics
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Candidates should possess at minimum an Associate’s degree in Human Services, Social work, or related field.
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
- Commitment to DVRC’s mission
- Previous case management experience preferred.
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Commitment to a flexible work schedule to meet the organizational needs of DVRC
- Practical and strategic thinker and problem-solver.
- Demonstrated success in managing and implementing residential programming
- Strong attention to detail.
- Initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and priorities.

- Computer literate.
- Reliable and Independent worker.
- Must pass background check
- Experience working with victims of domestic violence preferred.
LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:
DV Training; CPR, blood borne pathogens, and first aid certification; Mental Health First Aid; Driver Education certification required within 3 months of employment. Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a background check.
