JOB OVERVIEW
AMEND is a 28 session educational program for men who abuse and/or batter their partners or others with whom they have family relationships. The program follows the Duluth "Power and Control" model. The Coordinator will be responsible for managing the program to include hiring and supervising staff, facilitating groups, outreach, community education and program development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervision, - conduct annual evaluations of group facilitators. Ensure group coverage at all times. Hold quarterly staff meetings. Review and approve biweekly timesheets and interview, hire and facilitate training of new facilitators.
- Community Outreach - Maintain ongoing contact with referral sources, Probation, DA, courts, CYS and any other referral source. Develop outreach program to assure community has knowledge about AMEND. Attend quarterly STOP meetings.
- PROGRAM Development - Create astandardized plan to evaluate effectiveness of AMEND.
- Direct Service - Co-facilitate one group and serve as a substitute as needed. Conduct or assign initial interviews & orientation. Contact partners of members to ascertain efficacy of group and partner safety.
- Record Keeping - Maintain complete, accurate and confidential client records on an on-going basis.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- College degree and/or experience in social work or human services, legal issues or law enforcement and knowledge of domestic violence and batterer's intervention work.
- Valid PA driver's license, use of personal vehicle and proof of insurance.
- Ability to deal effectively with crisis situations, communicate clearly both orally and in writing, exercise professional judgment, make independent decisions and maintain client confidentially.
- Successfully complete a 3-month probationary period.
- No record of child abuse or criminal history.
INTRODUCTORY CONDITIONS:
- Completion of 45-hour domestic violence training.
- Satisfactory or higher performance evaluation on all activities
- Firm commitment to DVSCP's philosophies and goals.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
