We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Shipping & Receiving Supervisor. This position reports to the Operations Manager and will work in the Dometic Huntsville location.
About the position
As Shipping & Receiving Supervisor of the Huntsville team, you will be involved in all aspects of customer satisfaction including order entry, order picking, packing, and shipping. Leads a team to ensure accurate finished goods inventories, proper receipt and storage of incoming goods, accurate and timely entering of customer orders, and that orders are shipped correctly, efficiently, and timely in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Supervise Customer Service / Shipping Department
- Manage call center
- Guarantee Total Customer Satisfaction
- Prompt order entry from customers into ERP System maintaining high order accuracy
- Set up new customer accounts and process credit card payments
- Monitor customer payment history and flag poor accounts
- Answer customer requests and communicate with customers on the status of orders
- Validate orders are pulled and packed to customer specifications
- Determine priority of orders to be picked and shipped
- Maintain high order fill rates, on time delivery, and accuracy
- Communicate with Planning on potential shortages and customer needs.
- Ensure orders are shipped to appropriate destinations in a cost-effective manner that meets customer needs.
- Work with shipping companies to get best rates: Negotiating all third-party logistics contracts for parcel, LTL, and International inbound/outbound shipments.
- Ship and Invoice customers
- Plan and schedule orders to meet customer demands
- Maintain high productivity and continuous improvement in meeting customer needs.
- Manage safety programs for all warehouse functions in accordance with Safety and OSHA regulations
- Conduct Physical Inventories & Cycle Counts and maintain accurate perpetual inventory. Receive and stock shelves with finished goods. Oversee stock placement and warehouse space utilization
- Responsible for NAFTA reporting
- Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Requirements
A suitable background would be a solid experience within XXXXXXX and XXXXX as well as the following qualifications and experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Must be able to read and write English
- Preferably five to ten years related experience & certification in assigned areas, as required
- Preferably one year of supervisory experience
- Proficient with Incoterms
- Ability to perform basic math skills and measurements
- Proficient using MS Excel
- Ability to lead or participate in Continuous Improvement projects
- Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds
- Must be reliable and on time to work each day
