What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Worker - Factory position at Dometic Marine?

We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for rising stars – passionate Student Production / General Laborer. This position reports to Production and/or Warehouse Supervisor and will work in Litchfield
General Responsibilities
- Assembles and packages parts to fill customer orders
- Picks and packs products as needed to fill customer orders utilizing cart or at the pack stations.
- Requires use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills & Requirements
- Attention to Detail – Ensuring accuracy in order picking, packing, and assembly.
- Time Management – Working efficiently to meet deadlines and maintain productivity.
- Basic Math Skills – Counting inventory, measuring materials, and verifying shipments.
- Physical Stamina – Ability to stand for long periods, lift packages, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Teamwork – Collaborating with coworkers to ensure smooth operations.
- Problem-Solving – Identifying issues in assembly, packaging, or order fulfillment and finding solutions.
- Communication Skills – Understanding instructions and conveying information effectively.
- Adaptability – Adjusting to changing tasks and work conditions in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability – Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, if needed.
- Physical Capability – Ability to lift and move objects of varying weights (e.g., up to 50 lbs).
- Basic Computer Literacy – Using scanners, inventory systems, or tracking software may be required.
- Safety Awareness – Understanding and following workplace safety guidelines and procedures.
- Reliable Transportation – Ability to commute to and from the distribution center.
Note: Failure to maintain any of these qualifications may result in disqualification from the position.
Training:
- Up to 2 to 4 weeks on the job training
