Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist / Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service and support in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and excellent organizational skills to manage patient appointments, maintain records, and facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities for the Receptionist
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring accurate information is recorded.
- Maintain patient records with confidentiality and accuracy, including updating medical histories.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members.
- Process patient insurance information and verify eligibility.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations within the clinic or hospital setting.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area to create a welcoming environment for patients.

Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a Medical Assitant role is preferred.

- Experience working in a hospital or clinic setting is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic office software applications.
