REGISTRAR

Dominican University New York seeks a dynamic candidate for the position of Registrar. The Registrar reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.  The Registrar is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the operations of the Office, and is responsible for supervising a team of staff to ensure effectiveness and customer service. This position is responsible for course registration; maintaining student records, and certifying completion of degrees. The Registrar is also responsible for federal, state and campus reporting on enrollments; administering enforcement of the daily class schedule; classroom scheduling and room-use policies. The Registrar will ensure that the operations and policies are in complete compliance with all federal, state and local regulations and must be familiar with New York laws and regulations. Lastly, the Registrar will serve as Primary Designated School Official (PDSO), representing the University to the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of State, including the issuing of I-20 documents and maintenance of SEVIS records.

Required skills & qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required. 5 – 7 years in higher education administrative experience. Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills; accuracy and attention to detail and excellent computer skills including MS Word and Excel. Understanding and working knowledge of Jenzabar software. Bilingual in English-Spanish a plus.
