Position Summary

The Barowsky School of Business is seeking a part-time instructor to teach a course in the MBA Latin America program during June-July 2025. The class meets online on Saturdays and is delivered in English with live Spanish translation. Asynchronous lecture recordings are offered each week.

Responsibilities

• Teach a three-unit course at graduate level
• Evaluate and grade student work and provide feedback to students
• Mentor and advise students on the progress of their projects and coursework
• Uphold academic performance standards and integrity
• Instructors are required to work with the School to complete assessments of the course for AACSB Assurance of Learning purposes
  
  

Course Description

MBAL 5404 Strategic Leadership for Organizational Performance (06/21/2025-07/12/2025; online Saturdays from 8:00-10:30 AM) -- In this course, students will analyze key leadership theories for leading and managing people and teams, effecting organizational change to strategically achieve business goals. Assess effective leadership in organizational and personal settings and examine one's emotional intelligence. Develop and practice team building and group facilitation skills. Analyze case studies exploring how leaders have used their unique styles to achieve their business goals. Examine effects of power on ethical leadership decision making and the steps for effecting successful organizational change. The course is delivered in Spanish and is available to students in the Online Master of Business Administration for Latin America program, a one-year intensive program exclusively for working professionals in Latin America.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business, Leadership, or closely related fields
• Professional leadership and management experience
• Must be a California resident. Please DO NOT apply if you are not a California resident.

• Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in Business or related fields
