Position Information
Job Title: Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship (Tenure-Track)
Location: River Forest, IL (on-campus)
Reports To: Dean, Brennan School of Business
Term: Full-time, starting August 2025
Job Description Summary
The Assistant Professor will teach undergraduate entrepreneurship courses, engage in scholarly research, and contribute to the university community. The standard teaching load is 21 credit hours per academic year (seven courses). Responsibilities include:
- Teaching undergraduate entrepreneurship courses
- Establishing a research agenda with the potential to publish peer-reviewed journal articles
- Advising students and participating in university and college committees
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Entrepreneurship/Management (or a PhD in business with a concentration in entrepreneurship) from an AACSB-accredited institution
- ABD candidates will be considered if the degree will be conferred by May 2026
- Commitment to fostering an equitable and inclusive learning environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in entrepreneurship
- Experience in business or running an entrepreneurial venture
- Background in creating and leading experiential learning projects in entrepreneurship
- Previous teaching experience at HSIs or minority-serving institutions
